Let me make this declaration with all lucidity; I am not,
in any way, shape or form, an advocate for any type of violence. I hope
that is an unqualified statement of my position on brutality, cruelty,
viciousness, et al. At the same time, I'm
not ignorant of, or to, the facts of the inhumanity of this world. Yet many, many people are; these I call
sheeple. They don’t do complete
research, they do not fully comprehend the consequences of their actions and
they believe whatever they read, and then parrot, as if it were complete and
utter fact. When, in reality, they
couldn’t be further from veracity.
One side wants you to believe guns, assault weapons,
etc., are what is causing the deaths of people.
That guns are responsible for “mass attacks” on the peoples of not only
America but the world. The bold
accusations of these people are so strong, they are heard over all others who
speak with logic, facts and truth. They
squawk so they can be heard over all the rest, to drown out the truth to propagate
their own agenda(s). The main one; the
complete and total disarming of the United States of America.
If guns were the problem, if guns caused all these “mass
shootings”, and that is a very loosely used term (no one has defined “mass
shooting”, what is a mass shooting, how many qualify, etc.?). No answer so far. Yet, again, if we follow this logic, we give
guns a personality of their own, they become alive and are the actual
culprits. Let me put it another
way. Yesterday I put a gun in my doorway,
left the door open and put a few clips next to it. To my surprise, when I arrived home that
evening the gun had not moved, it had not loaded itself and it had not fired a
single round. It killed exactly no
one. Do you not see how ludicrous this
train of logic is?
People love to distort facts with skewed statistics, propaganda,
misguided beliefs and just being incorrect.
It’s the people who pull the trigger, no gun law is going to stop
someone for obtaining a weapon, whether it be a 9mm or an M-16 automatic
assault rifle. These people didn’t just
walk down to the local gun shop and buy weapons, if this is what you think you’re
sorely out-of-touch.
The 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution is
there to safeguard you. If you feel you
can defend yourself from armed attackers without weapons of your own, or
against a tyrannical government taking over the US, good luck. The 2nd Amendment specifically
states, “…the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” In 2008 the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 5-4
decision, meticulously detailing the history and tradition of the Second
Amendment at the time of the Constitutional Convention, proclaimed that the
Second Amendment established an individual right for U.S. citizens to possess
firearms and struck down the D.C. handgun ban as violative of that right.
It is clear that strict gun laws do not work, just look
at Chicago. Look at other countries
where gun laws are enforced; bombings, gassings, mass shootings, everything and
the kitchen sink; but yes, let’s blame the weapons and try to have them taken
away. Do we really not see what is happening? When you want to take over a country, you
take its weapons; Germany, Russia, China, North Korea…do we really want a repeat
of all that here in what was once the greatest nation on earth?!
In 1789, the House debated and ratified this amendment
because it could see very, very far into the future. . They
knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote and ratified the 2nd
Amendment of the US Constitution. Those who
call the 2nd Amendment “stupid” are they themselves, the ignorant
fools who are just out for attention and self-promotion. I served
this country for a very, very long time.
I swore an oath to protect, defend and uphold the Constitution of the
United States, and I really am getting sick and tired of whiny crybabies, duplicitous,
self-serving, indulgent commies who think that this amendment is, “stupid”. Then, again, they “back up” their belief with
“facts” and “statistics” one can only find if you tear things apart and then
put them back together to match what your agenda is all about.
This is the United States of America. This is the home of the FREE and the
BRAVE. If you don’t desire to be either,
than depart hence, this is not the country for you. I will maintain my right to bear arms until
the day I die, as we all should. I don’t
want to see the day when the government takes away these freedoms afforded to
us, but it seems they keep getting closer and closer. I pray for this country, I pray for the
world. I pray my rights remain intact.
